AZZ Precoat Metals hosts ribbon-cutting ceremony for new $110 million manufacturing facility in Washington, MO
In a major boost to the region’s economy and industrial landscape, AZZ Precoat Metals celebrated the grand opening of its new $110 million manufacturing facility in Washington, Missouri, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by nearly 100 community members, partners, and local leaders.
The new facility represents AZZ Precoat's first manufacturing investment in the Washington area, a move expected to create quality jobs and drive long-term economic growth in the region.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Doug Hagedorn praised the significance of the occasion, stating,
“This ribbon-cutting isn’t just about opening a new facility—it also represents the beginning of new opportunities. The fact that AZZ chose Washington speaks volumes about the strength of our local workforce and the character of our community as a whole.”
Mayor Hagedorn also expressed gratitude to AZZ Precoat’s leadership and staff, as well as to federal, state, and local partners who helped bring the project to fruition. He recognized the efforts of the city council, city staff, and economic development team, calling the day a “proud moment for all of us.”
The state-of-the-art facility, located in Washington's newest industrial park, Oldenburg Industrial Park, is expected to play a key role in the company’s expansion while solidifying Washington’s reputation as a prime location for advanced manufacturing.
As the ceremonial ribbon was cut, the moment marked not only the opening of a new building but the beginning of what leaders on both sides hope will be a strong and lasting partnership between AZZ Precoat Metals and the City of Washington.
